2017 Best Summer Drugstore Makeup: Highlighters, Bronzers, Oh my!

"Blog, Makeup Tips"

Suns out, buns out! Or in my case, buns up all day E V E R Y D A Y. Summer is one of my favorite seasons because it keeps me motivated to go outside, travel and have fun. This summer a lot of drugstore brands have kicked it into high gear and have released awesome products perfect for summer! My two summer makeup staples are highlighters and bronzers. These two combo-ed together make the perfect glowy bronze skin! Today I am going to share with you my drugstore favorites that won’t break the bank. Highlighters 1. Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster $15.00 Such a steal! There’s 3 highlighters in one, 2 that could be illuminating blushes. 2. Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips $13.00 Looks a lot like the Bobbi Brown. Swirl around for a mix of…

Summer Makeup Switches

"Blog, Makeup Tips"

When summer hits, its time for some changes! In addition to bringing out your summer shorts and dresses, don’t forget to make changes in your makeup routine as well! Foundation With the sun and humidity out, its easy for your foundation to feel heavy and slide off your face (which isn’t too cute). Switch your foundation for a BB Cream. Not only are BB creams feel lightweight, they also have SPF which helps prevent skin cancer. Win-win! My U.S. favs are Burt’s Bees BB Cream and Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. Highlighter Highlighter is totally in right now (have you seen the new shades from the Jouer Highlighter collection?!) but can fade through the hot summer day. Try switching to a liquid or gel highlighter to make that cheekbone pop all day long! Marc Jacobs…

What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

"Blog, Makeup Tips, Travel"

With summer comes vacations and with vacations come packing, traveling, and lots of sun exposure. I absolutely love reading these types of posts because I love getting to know what other people pack when they travel! If you’d like to know what I usually pack on vacations to keep my makeup and skin 100%, please keep reading! Skincare Out of all the steps in my travel makeup bag, I think this is the most important step. It is so critical to take care of your skin, especially when you are traveling. Inside a plane with recycled air for hours, commuting by car, and a blazing hot sun is a recipe for skin disaster. Whenever traveling, I always make sure to have enough hydration and sun protection. I really like masks focused on hydration since…

5 MUST HAVE Drugstore Makeup Dupes

"Blog, Makeup Tips"

Good drugstore products can sometimes be tough to find. But lately drugstore products have stepped it up with some awesome dupes! Today I’m going to share with you my top 5 FAVORITE drugstore dupes! Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge vs. Beauty Blender This is a well-known dupe, but I wanted to share it in case you haven’t heard about it! The Beauty Blender sponge is def a great makeup tool for all face makeup, but at a steep price point IMO. Although these two aren’t exact dupes, I actually prefer the Real Techniques sponge better because it is much softer and is cut differently than the Beauty Blender. The Real Techniques sponge is pointed on the top and has a diagonal cut at the bottom. This cut helps make the sponge more versatile; I blend…

HUDABEAUTY Rose Gold Palette | Swatches + 3 Looks!

"Blog, Makeup, Reviews"

HudaBeauty Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette | Mini Review I recently got the HudaBeauty Rose Gold eyeshadow palette over Valentine’s Day and was super excited to try out the “textured” eyeshadows and incorporate them in different looks. Shipping was excellent considering that this palette was international and was all the way from Dubai!  My palette was ordered on February 4th, shipped on February 8th and received February 13th right before my trip. This palette is pricey with a price point of $65.00 (luckily the BF got it <3)! Overall, this has been my go-to palette from everyday to night-time glam! All the eyeshadows are consistently pigmented and super soft. My favorites are Angelic, Moon Dust, Henna, and Coco. Sometimes I do have to reach for other palettes for transition crease colors as the only transition…

Mikasa Beauty: Oval Brushes TESTED

"New Year, New You Series, Reviews, Sponsored Posts"

I have been seeing Oval Brushes around YouTube and decided to make a blog post about the my thoughts on Mikasa Techni Oval Brushes! Oval Brushes are versatile brushes that are rounded off for the purpose of flexibility and easier blending. Compared to standard brushes, oval brushes are curved enough to get into tight spaces on your face like around the nose and under the eyes. From my understanding, Artis was one of the original companies who came out with oval brushes exclusively a couple years ago and offers these brushes at a high end cost (each individual brush costing around $40-$80). Nowadays there are many different low and high end companies  who have adapted and sell oval brushes! This is my first time ever trying Oval Brushes, so if you would like to learn more about…
