Fall is FINALLY here! Here comes the Pumpkin Spice everythings, chilly nights, and colorful leaves. I literally just went to Bath & Body works and stocked up on a bunch of pumpkin scents for the season. It was crazy in there! PLUS, Halloween is just around the corner! Who’s excited for that? Speaking of Halloween, on my YouTube channel I will be posting every TUESDAY AND THURSDAY on easy Halloween looks that you can achieve with items you already have at home! Definitely subscribe to not miss out on some awesome Halloween looks and inspo.
Some fall looks I’ve been sporting on IG (Follow me @poshpomi!)
When I think of Fall makeup, I think of dark lip colors and bronzed and matte AF skin. Not that you can’t some highlighter (you do you girl!), but I love vampy fall looks. Today I’ll be sharing makeup dupes I’ve found in the drugstore so you can save money while slaying this fall season!
A bronzer palette is perfect for your Fall (and really) your year round needs. I tend to get much paler in the Winter and Autumn season than I do in the Summer season, so I like my variety.
The Bobbi Brown palette has all my essentials; corrector, concealer, foundation, powder, and bronzer. This palette is a great price (usually priced at $135), but for a better deal here are my favorite dupes!
E.l.f. cosmetics is amazing because they have been amping up their quality in the last couple of years while still being at an affordable price. This quad-palette comes with four different shades of bronzers and have such a wide variety of shades to meet your bronzing and blush needs! This palette is priced at $8, making each bronzer $2 a piece. What a steal!
Makeup Revolution is also one of my favorites when it comes to finding dupes. This palette comes with all of the above; concealer, setting powder, bronzer, blush and highlighter. For $12 this palette meets my bronzer and all my face makeup needs!
Tom Ford is a luxurious makeup brand that plays no games. The packaging is beautiful AF and the formulation is beautiful. Some people (like me) think that $110 is pretty expensive for a bronzer. To put in perspective, I could purchase a PSCL (pumpkin spice chai latte) 22x for the price of 1 Tom Ford bronzer. Physicians Formula Summer Eclipse Bronzing is a great dupe that offers a buildable bronze glow. Wet & Wild Color Icon bronzer is the classic drugstore dupe. This bronzer is oil-free and offers enough bronze with no orange payoff.
The Bareminerals bronzer is literally the smoothest bronzed I have ever felt in my life. EVER. This formula is so smooth and pretty on the skin. $28 is a pretty bronze penny, so I go to the drugstore to save some money. Both of my dupes are from Physicans formula because their bronzers (IMO) are one of the best and smoothest bronzers that the drugstore market currently has to offer. The Physicans formula butter bronzer is so smooth, buildable and smells super tropical. If you have extra sensitive skin, try the Physicians formula Talc-Free mineral bronzer. This formulation is fragrance free, paraben free, and hypoallergenic. This bronzer also offers a 16 hour wear, so that’s a plus if you want that all -day bronze!
Vampy + Berry Lippies
In my recent CCGRWM, I did a fall makeup look using a burgundy lippie. Dark lippies are a staple piece when it comes to autumn makeup.
Some of my favorites are high end products, such as MAC’s Cyber and Too Faced’s Melted Latex High Shine in Bite Me. BUT paying for a lot for one lipstick is kinda annoying. Luckily there is a plethora of drugstore options to meet your dark lippie needs!
Essence is one of my go to drugstore products whenever I’m at my local drugstore or at ULTA. For the most part, Essence consistently creates awesome products at a low price point, usually ranging from $2-$5! For their lip products department, Essence offers a few different formulas. The Essence Matt Matt Matt lipstick is (as you can guess) a matte lipstick. This formulation has 6 shades from pink to plum to vampy red. If you’re not into matte lipsticks (they tend to be drying especially in the colder season), try the Essence Long Lasting lipstick range. This range also has 6 shades with ranging from nude to pink to plum. This formulation is meant to last the entire day!
Wet n Wild
Wet n Wild is another brand that consistently hits the mark on quality makeup for a low price. Back in the day, I remember Wet n Wild used to only carry standard lipsticks. Although the packaging is a bit cheap, the overall finish of the MegaLast lipsticks is great and they offer a huge range of colors from nudes to dark. Liquid Catsuit is the latest liquid lipstick that was released
When it comes to dark lip colors, make sure to line your lips for the sharpest line! For $3, Wet n Wild’s gel lip liner is smooth and will make sure your lips feel moisturized all day.
Glosses are making a comeback and I AM HERE FOR IT. Too Faced just dropped a new formulation of their Melted line in “Latex” earlier this year and it packs a punch in shine! Literally looks like plastic. In the drugstore world, Maybelline has also been killing it this year with lip products! They released their Vivid Hot Lacquers earlier this year and boy are they pigmented AF glosses. To me this product is a really close dupe to the Too Faced Melted Latex because it has high shine and high color payoff. Maybelline’s Color Jolt is another great dupe for the Melted Latex, but I feel that this has less shine than the Vivid Hot Lacquers. If you’re not into shine whatsoever, Maybelline also offers a Vivid Matte Liquid formula that has great color payoff in matte.
