Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away and I am so… neutral on it LOL. I personally don’t celebrate V-Day until after the 14th since chocolates are on sale 😍 Regardless of whether I celebrate it or not, V-Day is a great excuse to go out and have fun with the gals or your significant other or even by yourself (no shame in that!) And there is no better way to celebrate than with a bangin’ eye look 🔥. Here are my current top eyeshadow palettes that have a hint of Valentine’s Day vibes 💕
When this palette came out, I was in love 💕. I know not everyone is a fan of shimmers, but I thought this palette came with a great range of colors that is different from the standard “smokey eye” palette. This palette has a bunch of pinks, gold, and rose gold, which all are up my alley. This may not be your everyday palette, but it’s great for special occasions like V-Day 💕
This palette is the most travel friendly of all palettes mentioned because of how compact it is. The “Smokey” palette has all you need for a smokey eye. It has your transitional browns, dark browns, a black, and lots of shimmery shades to help you achieve a smoldering eye look.
This palette has been my go-to palette the minute it dropped last summer. I have been using this palette all of 2017 and the beginning of this year and I can’t get away. It has a lot of my pale shimmer colors, neutral colors, red tones, bold colors (your blues, purples, greens), and a black. Great for literally any look you want to achieve. My only issues with this palette is that it has no mirror (so not ideal for traveling) and the packaging is white so it gets dirty FAST.
If you want a smaller version of the Morphe Brushes x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette, get your hands on this one! Although it doesn’t come with the bold colors, it does come with a range of warm tones, shimmer shades, and dark shadows to achieve any day or night time look.
This palette recently dropped and it screams VALENTINES DAY 💌. Like mentioned in my previous post (Skip the Chocoloate: 7 V-DAY Gifts you should get instead) this palette has all the pinks and a spunky green color called “Fallen Star” to get the guys to look at them eyes LOL 😂
The ABH Modern Renaissance palette was a staple for many people in 2017 and I can see why. If you’re a warm toned girl who loves pink, this palette really has all your essentials 💖 From the pale shimmers to the warm tone browns and oranges to the pinks, you are covered. And the formulation on ABH palettes are insanely soft and easy to blend, so its a win-win.
Another staple for many people is the Tartelette Bloom palette. There is no black in this palette, but this is great for the people who are just getting started on smokey eyes and don’t want to look like they have 2 black eyes when they go out 😂. With your light and dark neutrals and 2 shimmers, you can come up with some bangin’ looks!
Like I mentioned before on the standard “smokey eye” palette, if you are looking for one stop right here: this is the palette for you. The colors in this OG palette get you where you want to go, with lots of neutral colors with a splash of navy and black to smoke out the eyes. Great buy if you’re on the hunt for the perfect smokey eye palette.

Steps to Achieve this easy smokey eye look 🔥
1. Apply a base with a primer or concealer. I used the Tarte Shape Tape concealer in Light.
2. Add a Transition color. I used the shade Limit from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.
3. Intensify the outer corner of the eye. I used the shade Nooner from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.
4. Smoke out the outer V of the eye. I used the shade Dark side and Dark Heart from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.
6. Add lashes. I personally like Faux Minx lashes look on my eye shape and Ardell Faux Mink lashes in #811 are a great affordable lashes.
